A lifetime of hockey.
Mike and Armand Desrosiers opened Skaters Edge in 1986 under the name Gosselin Skate Shop, at 270 Amory Street in Manchester. Both men had been involved in hockey for a number of years, before opening the business that would soon become a fixture in the New Hampshire hockey community. Armand had been a coach for years, including a stint with the U.S. National team. In the late 70's Mike was playing for the Manchester Regional Youth Hockey Association, while Armand helped out as a volunteer—including a period as the organization's President. Mike later went on to play in prep school and in college. Skaters Edge gave Mike and Armand the ability to stay close to the game, while providing customers with the benefits of their product knowledge.
10 year's later the operation was moved to its present location on Main Street in Manchester and the name was changed to Skaters Edge. Today, Mike and Armand continue to serve the region's hockey players and figure skaters.
